helpful hints - remodeling
Prior to the start of your remodeling project, some careful advance planning can ease the inconvenience that will inevitably result.
1. To minimize the effects of the dust being generated, box up everything that won't be needed and seal off connecting doorways.
2. Don't pack up everything. These items will come in handy: microwaveable food, microwave-safe dishes, plastic silverware, paper plates, cups, condiments, cereal, dishcloths, dishwasher soap, coffee, coffee maker, sugar and creamer, paper towels, napkins and garbage bags.
3. Pick a spot to temporarily relocate your refrigerator and microwave oven to. Use a table for food preparation. Also, think about a dishwashing contingency plan - perhaps a bathroom, in case the kitchen water is shut off for awhile.
4. Relax and be patient. It will be worth it in the long run!
